Arian Foster rolled up 234 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns as the visiting Houston Texans took control of the AFC South in emphatic fashion with a 41-7 drubbing of the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

Matt Schaub completed 18 of 23 passes for 296 yards, two touchdowns and a 147.7 passer rating for the Texans (4-3), who snapped a two-game slide and moved one-half game in front of the Titans (3-3) in the division.

Houston took control at the end of the first quarter, scoring on four straight possessions to close out the first half.

The highlight came when Schaub and Foster hooked up for a 78-yard catch-and-run, with Foster collecting a short pass to the left and beating the Tennessee defense down the field.

The Texans went into the locker room with a 303-73 advantage in total yardage and a 20-0 lead.

The second half was no different. Foster capped a seven-play, 92-yard drive with a 1-yard touchdown run on Houston’s first possession and added a 5-yard scoring burst early in the fourth quarter.

The lone sour note for the Texans came in the first half, when safety Danieal Manning was carted off with a leg injury.

Chris Johnson’s tough season continues for Tennessee. The All-Pro running back was held to 18 yards on 10 carries.
