Recap
Jacoby Ford returned a kickoff 101 yards for a touchdown and punter Shane Lechler completed a scoring pass on a fake field goal as the Oakland Raiders posted a 24-17 home triumph over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
Darren McFadden rushed for 91 yards and a TD for Oakland (4-2), which played its first home game since the death of owner Al Davis.
Raiders quarterback Jason Campbell left the game in the second quarter reportedly with a broken collarbone. Kyle Boller replaced him and completed 8 of 14 passes for 100 yards.
McFadden, who leads the NFL with 610 yards rushing, opened the scoring with a 4-yard run in the first quarter. After Colt McCoy connected with Alex Smith for a 1-yard touchdown early in the second, Ford took the ensuing kickoff down the right sideline for his fourth career kick-return touchdown.
Sebastian Janikowski booted a 48-yard field goal with 3:06 remaining in the third for a 17-7 lead and lined up for a 53-yard attempt less than two minutes later. But Lechler took the snap and tossed the ball to Kevin Boss, who went 35 yards for his first touchdown of the season.
McCoy hit Mohamed Massaquoi for a 12-yard score with 66 seconds remaining in the fourth, and Cleveland (2-3) recovered the proceeding onside kick. But McCoy threw three straight incompletions after a seven-yard gain on first down, ending the Browns' comeback hopes.
McCoy was 21 of 45 for 215 yards and two touchdowns while Peyton Hillis gained only 14 yards on six carries for Cleveland (2-3), which is averaging 18.2 points per game.
