DeSean Jackson returned a punt 65 yards for a touchdown on the last play of the game as the visiting Philadelphia Eagles scored 28 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to stun the New York Giants 38-31 on Sunday.

Philadelphia (10-4) took a one-game lead over New York (9-5) in the NFC East but has the tiebreaker based on sweeping the season series.

New York has a crucial game at Green Bay next week before concluding the season in Washington. The Eagles finish their season at home against Minnesota and Dallas.

Philadelphia trailed 24-3 at the half after being held to 74 yards and four first downs with two turnovers.

Trailing 31-10 with eight minutes left, Mike Vick connected on a 65-yard touchdown pass to tight end Brent Celek that cut the deficit to 14 points. The Eagles then recovered an onside kick and pulled within 31-24 with 5:32 remaining on a 4-yard run by Vick.

Vick got the ball back with three minutes to play and moved the club 88 yards on eight plays, connecting with Jeremy Maclin for a 13-yard TD with 1:24 left to tie it.

Philadelphia held and forced a punt. Jackson bobbled a low line drive from rookie Matt Dodge and broke a few tackles to put Philadelphia in the driver’s seat in the NFC East.

Vick was 21 of 35 passing for 242 yards with three touchdowns and one interception and added 130 yards on 10 carries.

Giants quarterback Eli Manning threw for 289 yards and a career high-tying four touchdowns.
