Recap: Chiefs 42, Jaguars 20

Dwayne Bowe caught two touchdown passes from Matt Cassel as the Kansas City Chiefs cruised to a 42-20 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

Thomas Jones rushed for 125 yards on 20 carries, including a 1-yard touchdown run and a 70-yard run in the first half to set up Jamaal Charles’ 4-yard score. Charles finished with 71 yards as the Chiefs (4-2) ran for 236 yards in this one.

Derrick Johnson’s 15-yard interception return gave the Chiefs a 28-20 lead in the third quarter.

Bowe’s 6-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter extended the lead to 35-20, and his 53-yard score early in the third quarter gave the Chiefs a 21-13 lead.

Todd Bouman, who was signed this week to replace the injured David Garrard and Trent Edwards, finished 18 of 34 for 222 yards. The veteran quarterback also had two touchdowns and two interceptions for the Jaguars (3-4).

Bouman’s last touchdown pass came in his last regular-season game - Jan. 1, 2006 with the New Orleans Saints.

Maurice Jones-Drew finished with 121 yards from scrimmage, including an 18-yard touchdown catch among his 74 receiving yards.

Cassel finished 13 of 18 for 192 yards.
