Matt Bryant kicked a 46-yard field goal with 1:55 left in overtime, lifting the Atlanta Falcons to a 27-24 victory over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday at the Superdome.
The Falcons (2-1) took a 24-21 lead on Ryan's 22-yard touchdown pass to Roddy White with 9:20 left, but Garrett Hartley booted a 32-yard field goal with 4 seconds left to force overtime.
Hartley missed on his next attempt, a 29-yarder on New Orleans' first possession in overtime after the Saints stopped Atlanta on its first drive.
Michael Turner rushed for 114 yards on 30 carries and scored on a 1-yard run in the second quarter for Atlanta, and Tony Gonzalez caught eight passes for 110 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown in the first quarter.
Lance Moore caught touchdown passes of 80 and 16 yards and had a 72-yard punt return for a score for New Orleans (2-1). He caught six passes for 149 yards.
Atlanta's Matt Ryan threw for 228 yards and two touchdowns on 19-of-30 passing. Drew Brees completed 30 of 38 passes for 365 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions for the Saints.
