GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The first act of Leonard Fournette's Heisman Trophy campaign was upstaged by a place-kicker.

Wisconsin's Rafael Gaglianone made three field goals, including a game-winning 47-yarder with less than four minutes to play, as unranked Wisconsin upset Fournette and No. 5 LSU 16-14 on Saturday afternoon at Lambeau Field.

Gaglianone's last kick was the difference after the Tigers' defense quickly turned a 13-0 deficit into a 14-13 LSU lead in the third quarter.

LSU moved into field-goal range after the last field goal, but D'Cota Dixon intercepted Brandon Harris' pass at the Badgers 25 with 35 seconds left.

Fournette overcame a slow start to finish with 138 yards on 23 carries. But he never reached the end zone as the LSU offense scored just seven points.

Wisconsin had a 13-0 lead and a firm grip on the game before things changed midway through the third quarter.

LSU's Tre'Davious White intercepted a Bart Houston pass and returned the ball 21 yards for a touchdown to make it 13-7.

Moments later White picked up a Badgers fumble at the Wisconsin 41. Two plays later Harris threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Travin Dural and the Tigers had a 14-13 lead with 4:21 left in the third quarter.

On its first possession of the third quarter, Wisconsin rolled right down the field and Corey Clement ran 5 yards for a touchdown and a 13-0 lead.

Wisconsin had taken a 3-0 lead on a 30-yard field goal by Gaglianone with 4:13 left in the second quarter.

After Fournette was stopped for no gain on fourth-and-1 from near midfield just before halftime, the Badgers doubled their lead as Gaglianone kicked a 48-yarder with 54 seconds left.

Wisconsin dominated the first-half statistics. The Badgers ran 42 plays and the Tigers ran 21. The Badgers gained 180 yards and the Tigers 64. The Badgers possesses the ball for 21 minutes 52 seconds and the Tigers had it for 8:08.
