No. 17 Oregon 52, Oregon State 42

EUGENE, Ore. -- Senior quarterback Vernon Adams threw for 366 yards and three touchdowns to lead No. 17 Oregon to a 52-42 win over Oregon State on Friday afternoon at Autzen Stadium.

Oregon (9-3) closed out the regular season with six straight wins and finished 7-2 in the Pac-12.

Junior wide receiver Bralon Addison had three touchdown catches and one touchdown run for Oregon. Sophomore running back Royce Freeman rushed for 167 yards and two scores.

Oregon State trailed 31-7 at halftime but began its second-half rally with an 84-yard drive that ended with a 1-yard touchdown run by quarterback Seth Collins to get within 31-14.

Oregon State went 98 yards on its next drive before Collins scored his third touchdown of the game on a 9-yard run to get the Beavers within 31-21 with 2:16 left in the third quarter.

Freeman responded with a 19-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter to push Oregon's lead to 38-21.

Oregon State answered with a 6-yard touchdown run by quarterback Marcus McMaryion to cut the lead to 38-28 with 12:02 left in the game.

Wide receiver Victor Bolden returned a punt 77 yards for a touchdown that got the Beavers within 38-35 with 10:09 left in the game.

Oregon responded when Adams threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Addison to push the lead to 45-35 with 7:43 left. Two plays later, running back Ryan Nall ran 66 yards for a touchdown as Oregon State cut the lead to 45-42 with 7:05 left.

Oregon drove back down the field and went ahead 52-42 on a 24-yard touchdown pass from Adams to Addison.

Oregon State took a 7-0 lead when it scored on its opening possession. The Beavers drove 75 yards on 10 plays before Collins scored on a 3-yard run.

Oregon answered with a 78-yard scoring drive capped with a 13-yard touchdown run by Addison.

The Ducks took their first lead at 14-7 when running back Taj Griffin scored on a 14-yard touchdown run with 54 seconds left in the first half.

Kicker Aidan Schneider added a 25-yard field goal to put the Ducks ahead 17-7 with 9:43 left in the second quarter.

Oregon stretched its lead to 24-7 when Freeman scored on a 3-yard touchdown run with 2:36 left in the first half. The Ducks took a 31-7 lead at halftime after Adams threw a 37-yard touchdown pass to Addison.

Oregon had 375 yards in the first half compared with 96 for Oregon State. Adams was 17 of 23 for 257 yards and a touchdown, and Addison had five catches for 90 yards and a touchdown to go with a rushing score.
