Jones broke free for a 72-yard punt return 1:39 into the game, Vinnie Sunseri made it a 21-7 gap early in the second with a 38-yard interception return for a touchdown and Jones responded to a Virginia Tech field goal by returning the ensuing kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown with 3:25 left in the half.

A.J. McCarron was just 10-for-23 for 110 yards but found Jones for a 38-yard touchdown pass with 3:43 left in the third quarter to stretch the lead to 35-10. The defense took care of the rest, holding the Hokies to 52 total yards in the second half.
