Iowa State 51, Kansas 23: Redshirt freshman quarterback Sam Richardson came off the bench and went 23-of-27 for 250 yards and four touchdowns to guide the visiting Cyclones past the Jayhawks.

Richardson, who replaced senior starter Steele Jantz after the Cyclones' second series, led Iowa State (6-5, 3-5 Big 12) to 28 consecutive points after Tony Pierson put Kansas (1-10, 0-8) ahead 14-10 with a 55-yard touchdown run on a fake reverse with 14:50 left in the first half.

Iowa State's Jeff Woody rushed for 89 yards and a score on nine carries and Richardson added 43 yards and a touchdown run.

Josh Lenz had a game-high six catches for 78 yards and a touchdown for the Cyclones, who saw four different players catch touchdown passes.

Pierson rushed for 73 yards on seven carries for Kansas and added a 37-yard touchdown catch.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Richardson was not listed on the two-deep depth chart and had not attempted a pass before Saturday ... Iowa State senior Durrell Givens recovered his FBS-leading sixth fumble in the second quarter and has nine total takeaways. ... Kansas has lost 20 straight conference games dating to November 2010.
