Arizona State 46, Washington State 7:
Taylor Kelly threw three of his four touchdown passes in the first half and the host Sun Devils became bowl eligible with a dominant win over the visiting Cougars.

Kelly was 20-for-23 for 246 yards and threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Chris Coyle with 2:09 left in the first quarter to put Arizona State (6-5, 4-4 Pac-12) ahead 18-0. Coyle had three catches for 53 yards and two touchdowns.

The Sun Devils held Washington State (2-9, 0-8) to minus-14 yards rushing in the first half and one yard overall. Arizona State snapped a four-game losing streak, while the Cougars have lost eight in a row since a 2-1 start.

Marion Grice scored his team-high 14th touchdown on a 17-yard pass from Kelly with 6:19 left in the second quarter, and Arizona State led 32-0 at the half after Coyle caught a 29-yard touchdown pass from Michael Eubank on the next possession.

Quarterbacks Jeff Tuel and Connor Halliday split time for Washington State, combining for 240 passing yards and two interceptions. The Cougars were outgained 562-241 and went 1-for-16 on third down.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Arizona State has outscored its opponents 124-63 in the first quarter this season. … Rashad Ross added 79 yards receiving and two touchdowns for the Sun Devils. …Washington State avoided the shutout when Halliday threw a 54-yard touchdown pass to Kristoff Williams with 57 seconds left to play.
