Tajh Boyd matched his school record with five touchdown passes - all in the first half - and the visiting Tigers cruised to the ACC victory.

Boyd, who passed for a school record 428 yards and five touchdowns to lead Clemson (8-1, 5-1 ACC) in a one-sided victory last week against Wake Forest, threw for 344 yards before exiting in the third quarter. He also ran for a first-half touchdown and finished with 72 rushing yards on nine carries. The Tigers compiled 718 total yards, second most in program history.

Clemson junior wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins caught three touchdown passes in the opening quarter, setting the school record for career touchdown receptions with 22. The Tigers had 10 plays of 21 yards or more in the opening 15 minutes and totaled 296 yards in that span.

Sean Renfree completed 23 of 39 passes for 240 yards and a touchdown to lead the Blue Devils (6-4, 3-3). He connected with Jamison Crowder on a 77-yard scoring pass midway through the first quarter to cut the deficit to 14-10. Crowder finished with seven catches for 167 yards.
 
Following Crowder’s touchdown reception, Boyd threw a 45-yard touchdown pass to Hopkins and a 30-yarder to Sammy Watkins to give the Tigers a 28-10 lead heading into the second quarter.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Clemson was 4-for-4 on third downs in the first half and finished 7-for-10 for the game. … Duke freshman K Ross Martin booted a season-long 46-yard field goal in the first quarter to cut the deficit to 7-3. Martin is 14-for-16 on the season. … For the first time in school history, Clemson has defeated five consecutive ACC opponents by at least 14 points.
