Kaleb Patterson kicked a 31-yard field goal with 1:24 remaining as the host RedHawks upset the unbeaten Bobcats.

Miami (4-4, 3-1 MAC) snapped a two-game losing streak, holding No. 23-ranked Ohio (7-1, 3-1 MAC) 16 points below its season average of 36.4. The Bobcats marched to the Miami 7 with time running out, but Wes Williams sacked Ohio quarterback Tyler Tettleton on the game’s final play.

The RedHawks scored the game’s first 13 points on two Patterson field goals and Zac Dysert’s 54-yard touchdown pass to Nick Harwell. Jamire Westbrook’s 1-yard touchdown run with 12 minutes left in the opening half gave Miami a 20-7 advantage.

Dysert completed 21 of 36 passes for 311 yards. Tettleton finished 23-of-38 for 302 yards.

Ohio trailed 20-14 following Tettleton’s 3-yard touchdown run with 9:45 to go in the half. Matt Weller’s 45-yard field goal with 12:03 left in the third brought the Bobcats within 20-17, and Weller’s 38-yarder with 4:41 to play tied the score.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The two teams combined for 488 yards of total offense (Ohio 464, Miami 424). … Patterson opened the scoring with a 40-yard field goal with 9:05 remaining in the first quarter, and booted a 32-yarder with 2:55 left in the first.
