Recap: Kansas State 24, Oklahoma 19

No. 13 Kansas State 24, No. 5 Oklahoma 19: Collin Klein scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 5-yard run with 13:16 remaining as the visiting Wildcats upset the Sooners in the Big 12 Conference opener for both teams.

Klein's score came after Oklahoma had take a 13-10 lead on Blake Bell's 3-yard touchdown run with five minutes left in the third quarter.

John Hubert, who rushed for 130 yards on 23 carries, added the clinching score on a 9-yard touchdown run with 7:27 play.

Kansas State grabbed a 7-3 lead when Jarell Childs returned Landry Jones' fumble 1 yard for a touchdown in the second quarter. The Wildcats kept the Sooners out of the end zone in the first half and led 10-6 at the intermission.

Jones completed 28-of-43 passes for 298 yards, including a late 10-yard touchdown pass to Sterling Shepard.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The loss prevented Jones from tying the school record for career wins held by Steve Davis, who won 32 games from 1973-75. Jones' career marked dropped to 31-9. ... Kansas State snapped a five-game losing streak against Oklahoma, which had won eight of the previous nine meetings in the series. Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops dropped to 8-2 against the Wildcats. ... The Sooners lost to a ranked game at home under Stoops for the first time, falling to 14-1. Overall, the Sooners slipped to 44-3 in Norman against Big 12 opponents. Klein completed 13-of-21 passes for 149 yards and rushed 17 times for 79 yards.
