: Redshirt freshman J.W. Walsh threw for four touchdowns and ran for another as the host Cowboys rebounded from a bad loss and an early injury to starting quarterback Wes Lunt to crush the Ragin' Cajuns.

Lunt, who threw for a Big 12 freshman-record 436 yards in a 59-38 loss at Arizona last week, suffered a left knee injury on the sixth play from scrimmage and did not return. The high-powered Cowboys' attack, though, did not miss a beat.

Joseph Randle had 21 carries for 105 yards and two touchdowns and Blake Jackson had five catches for a game-high 112 yards and a touchdown as Oklahoma State (2-1) ran its home winning streak to eight. The Cowboys held a 330-110 advantage on the ground in improving to 9-0 all-time against Louisiana-Lafayette.

Walsh had 240 yards and three of his passing touchdowns by halftime, which Oklahoma State ended with a field goal to take a 44-0 lead. Walsh finished 21-of-30 for 347 yards and also ran six times for 73 yards, including a 4-yard scamper for a score midway through the third to make it 51-7.

Blaine Gautier threw for 236 yards and a touchdown and ran in another for the Ragin' Cajuns (2-1), who were outgained 450-101 in the first half.

GAME NOTEBOOK: In its two wins this season, Oklahoma State has outscored its opponents 103-0 in the first half. ... Lunt reportedly will miss 2-to-3 weeks. ... . The Cowboys have a week off before hosting No. 12 Texas.
