Josh Boyce had four catches for 102 yards - all in the first half, including touchdown catches of 66 and 12 yards in the second quarter as the Horned Frogs scored on their first four offensive possessions.

Pachall, who threw for a school record 2,921 yards last season, had 201 on Saturday before turning the reins over to Trevone Boykin. The freshman was 8 of 8 passing with a touchdown pass and had a 34-yard TD run in the third quarter as TCU set a FBS record by completing 17 of 17 passes.

Grambling State (0-2) did not advance past its 41-yard line and its longest drive was eight plays for 24 yards.

Waymon James' 1-yard touchdown run was sandwiched by Deante' Gray's 70-yard punt return for a TD and Elisha Olabode's 28-yard interception return for a score. Pachall's 21-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Carter gave TCU a 28-0 lead after one quarter.

The Tigers' Dawrence Roberts, the preseason Southwestern Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year, was held to 9 yards on seven carries.
