Middle Tennessee State 20, South Alabama 12: Logan Kilgore passed for two touchdowns and Jordan Parker added 154 yards rushing as the Blue Raiders knocked off the host Jaguars.

Middle Tennessee State (7-3, 5-1 Sun Belt) won for the fourth time in five games and remains tied with Arkansas State for the conference lead. The Blue Raiders travel to Arkansas State on Dec. 1.

Kilgore found Jeremiah Bryson for a 49-yard touchdown with 5:14 left in the first quarter, staking the Blue Raiders to a 7-3 lead. Leading 10-6 at halftime, Middle Tennessee State extended the advantage to 17-6 on Kilgore’s 6-yard touchdown pass to Anthony Amos with 9:48 left in the third quarter.

South Alabama (2-9, 1-6) committed four turnovers. The Jaguars, though, were still in the game after Ross Metheny’s 18-yard touchdown pass to Corey Besteda with 3:59 remaining in the third quarter, pulling within 17-12.

Carlos Lopez kicked a 19-yard field goal with 6:27 remaining for Middle Tennessee State. He missed a 47-yard field goal with 3:20 remaining, but Middle Tennessee State’s Jajuan Harley intercepted Metheny on the first play of the ensuing possession.
