Robert Griffin III rushed for two touchdowns and threw for two more, and No. 18 Baylor scored the final 24 points to pull away from visiting Texas 48-24 on Saturday at a rain-soaked Floyd Casey Stadium.

The Bears (9-3, 6-3 Big 12) won their ninth regular-season game and sixth league game for the first time since 1986, when they were members of the Southwest Conference.

Terrance Ganaway, who entered the game as the Big 12’s leading rusher, added 153 yards and two touchdowns on the ground for Baylor, which beat Texas two years in a row for the first time since 1992.

The Longhorns (7-5, 4-5), who trailed 24-21 at halftime, had no trouble moving the ball offensively but hurt themselves with six turnovers, four of which came after halftime.

Case McCoy entered the game with no interceptions in 107 pass attempts but threw four Saturday, the second of which Sam Holl returned 59 yards to the Texas 11. Two plays later, Griffin darted up the middle for a 10-yard score that put Baylor on top 38-24.

Minutes later, after a Cody Johnson fumble, Griffin III hit Terrance Williams with a perfect throw down the right sideline for a 39-yard touchdown that gave the Bears a 48-24 lead halfway through the fourth quarter.

Kendall Wright finished 137 yards and a touchdown for Baylor, which finished 7-0 at home.

McCoy had three passing touchdowns, including an 80-yarder to Marquise Goodwin.
