Final Scoring Summary
Recap
No. 5 Stanford rushed for a school-record 446 yards and extended the nation’s longest win streak to 15 games Saturday with a 65-21 victory over No. 24 Washington in Palo Alto, Calif.
Stanford (7-0, 5-0 Pac-12) scored on its first seven possessions and exploded for 28 second-quarter points against Washington (5-2, 3-1 Pac-12), which entered the game allowing just 97 yards per game on the ground.
Heisman Trophy candidate Andrew Luck threw for 169 yards and two touchdowns as Stanford focused on its run game. The Cardinal finished with 615 total yards.
Stepfan Taylor and Tyler Gaffney each finished with over 100 yards rushing, including Taylor’s season-long 70-yard touchdown run.
Anthony Wilkerson's 38-yard touchdown run with 1:25 remaining allowed Stanford to set its single-game rushing record.
Stanford was expected to be tested by its first ranked opponent, but the Cardinal dominated the line of scrimmage and won its 10th straight game by at least 25 points.
Chris Polk rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns for Washington, which has lost 15 of its last 16 road games against ranked opponents.
The 65 points scored against the Huskies are the most since UCLA beat Washington 62-13 in 1973.
