Ryan Mallett passed for 320 yards and three touchdowns and Knile Davis rushed for 153 and a score as No. 12 Arkansas got past No. 5 Louisiana State, 31-23, on Saturday.

Cobi Hamilton finished with 164 yards receiving and two touchdowns for over 80 yards apiece for the Razorbacks (10-2, 6-2 SEC West), who kept alive a chance at an at-large berth to a BCS bowl.

Arkansas struck first on Davis’ 14-yard score in the first quarter and the teams traded two touchdowns apiece in the second.

Knotted at 14 after Steven Ridley rushed for his second touchdown for LSU, Mallett heaved a pass with three seconds left in the half to Hamilton, who squeezed in between two colliding defenders and raced to the end zone for an 80-yard score to give the Razorbacks a 21-14 edge at the break.

LSU (10-2, 6-2) cut it to 21-20 with a pair of field goals in the third quarter, but Mallett hit Joe Adams with a 39-yard touchdown pass early in the fourth and Arkansas added a field goal to make it 31-20.

The Tigers added a late field goal but could not recover an onside kick in the final minutes.
