Daniel Herron rushed for a 1-yard touchdown with under two minutes left to lift No. 7 Ohio State past No. 20 Iowa, 20-17, in Iowa City on Saturday.

Terrelle Pryor passed for 195 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 78 yards for the Buckeyes (10-1, 6-1 Big Ten), who kept their Big Ten title hopes alive with the victory.

Herron’s touchdown finished off a 12-play drive that included a 4th-and-10 conversion from midfield on which Pryor scrambled for 14 yards.

Ricky Stanzi gave Iowa (7-4, 4-3) the lead in the first quarter when he found Marvin McNutt with a 19-yard touchdown pass. It was 7-3 at the half before the Buckeyes grabbed the advantage in the third quarter on Pryor’s 5-yard scoring pass to Reid Fragel.

But the Hawkeyes tied it with a field goal and took the lead back in the fourth quarter. After Shaun Prater intercepted Pryor in Ohio State territory, Iowa needed only two plays for Marcus Coker to find the end zone with just under 12 minutes left.

Devin Barclay hit a 48-yard field goal four minutes later to draw Ohio State to within 17-13.
