Montel Harris rushed for 183 yards on 36 carries and three touchdowns and Boston College forced five turnovers en route to a 23-13 victory over Wake Forest on Saturday.

Chase Rettig completed 12-of-16 passes for 133 yards and Jonathan Coleman finished with 59 receiving yards for the Eagles (4-5, 2-4 ACC), who still have a shot at their 12th consecutive bowl bid with a strong finish.

Boston College set the tone early when Luke Kuechly intercepted Tanner Price on the first play from scrimmage. The Eagles wasted little time turning that mistake into points when Harris rushed 26 yards for the score on the second play of the drive.

Harris added a 3-yard score early in the second quarter and the Eagles went into the half up, 14-6.

The second half started out in much the same way, as the Deamon Deacons (2-7, 1-5) forced a punt on the opening possession but then fumbled away the kick, giving Boston College the ball back on the Wake Forest 33-yard line. Retting tossed a 30-yard pass to Coleman on the second play and Harris punched it in from the 1-yard line.

Wake Forest grabbed a touchdown in the fourth but the Eagles came back with a field goal to put it away.
