Recap: Fresno State 38, Cal Poly 17

Ryan Colburn threw a pair of touchdown passes, as Fresno State rolled past Cal-Poly 38-17 in a non-conference home game.

The Bulldogs spotted Cal-Poly a 3-0 lead on a 30-yard field goal by Jake West but quickly took control with 21 straight points.

Colburn got things started with a 58-yard scoring pass to Isaiah Burse. The Bulldogs extended the lead to 14-3 on a 14-yard scoring run by Track Slocum.

Fresno State then made it 21-3 when Burse recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for the score.

The Mustangs got back in the game when Andre Broadous connected with Dominique Johnson for a 10-yard touchdown, and Mark Rodgers followed with a 1-yard dive into the end zone to cut the the Fresno State lead to 21-17 at half.

But Fresno State dominated the second half, outscoring Cal-Poly 17-0.

Fresno State (3-1) got 191 yards passing from Colburn on 13-of-18 passing.

The Mustangs (3-2) couldn't take advantage of three Bulldog turnovers. Broadous paced the offense with 83 yards on 25 carries.
