Freshman guard Brad Davison scored a career-high 19 points to lead Wisconsin to a 71-49 win against Milwaukee on Friday night at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wis.

Junior forward Ethan Happ added 14 points and eight rebounds for the Badgers (3-3), who snapped a two-game losing streak.

Davison delivered 14 second-half points and drained 5 of 6 3-pointers overall in his second career start.

Milwaukee sophomore guard Bryce Nze scored a team-high 10 points for the Panthers (4-2).

Badgers sophomore guard Brevin Pritzl contributed 12 points off the bench, and sophomore guard D'Mitrik Trice had 10 for Wisconsin, which shot 50 percent (15 of 25) from the field.

Junior guard Brock Stull, sophomore guard Bryce Barnes and junior guard Jeremiah Bell scored nine points apiece for the Panthers and first-year coach Pat Baldwin.

The first half featured five ties and 10 lead changes between the intrastate rivals.

Pritzl's 3-pointer from the right baseline pushed Wisconsin to its biggest first-half lead at 25-21 with 1:06 to go in the first.

The Panthers became mired in a scoring drought for 4 minutes, 40 seconds in the first half until junior guard Jeremiah Bell hit a jumper at the first-half buzzer that pulled Milwaukee within 28-23.

It took the Panthers 3:48 for to make a field goal in the second as Stull's jumper trimmed Wisconsin's lead to 34-25.

Freshman guard Kobe King's 3-pointer near the end of the shot clock extended Wisconsin's lead to 39-25 at the 15:07 mark.

The Badgers outrebounded the Panthers 37-25.

NOTES: The last time the teams met, Milwaukee upset Wisconsin 68-67 on Dec. 9, 2015 in Madison. ... Entering Friday's game, the Badgers held the all-time series record between the teams, 31-2. ...
