Hammons made two free throws with 2:17 remaining to tie the score at 56, but the Beavers scored the next eight points to put the game away.
Oregon State outscored Purdue 15-8 over the final seven minutes of the first half to go ahead by 11 points. Joe Burton then made the first two baskets of the second half to push the lead to 15.
