Stanford 62, Arizona State 59: Dwight Powell had 22 points and 10 rebounds as the visiting Cardinal withstood a late rally to win their sixth straight game against the Sun Devils.

Stanford (15-9, 6-5 Pac-12) led by six before Jonathan Gilling hit a 3-pointer with 14 seconds to play. Arizona State had a final chance to tie the game, but Bo Barnes’ 3-point attempt missed the mark.

Josh Huestis collected 13 points and 12 boards and John Gage added 11 points for Stanford, which was 10-of-18 from 3-point range and led by as many as 16 in the second half. Arizona State (18-6, 7-4) missed several open shots down the stretch and was 7-of-23 from beyond the arc.

Carrick Felix had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Arizona State, which plays five of its final seven Pac-12 games on the road. Jahii Carson scored 15 points and Gilling had 13 on 3-of-10 shooting.

Stanford, which has won four of its last five games, shot 47.8 percent from the field compared to 34.4 percent for the Sun Devils. Arizona State, the worst free-throw shooting team in the Pac-12, went 8-of-16 from the foul line.
