Florida State 82, Tulsa 63: Michael Snaer had 19 points and seven rebounds, leading the Seminoles over the Golden Hurricane in the MetroPCS Orange Bowl Basketball Classic in Sunrise, Fla.
Terrance Shannon added 16 points and 11 rebounds for Florida State (8-4), which forced 16 turnovers. Okaro White added 12 points while freshman guard Devon Bookert finished with 10.
The first half was a back-and-forth affair highlighted by sharp 3-point shooting (6-for-11) from Tulsa (7-6). Florida State led by three at the break, and both teams built five-point leads in the first 20 minutes. The Seminoles finally gained some separation with a 9-0 run midway through the second half.
Pat Swilling, Jr. scored 19 points for the Golden Hurricane while Scottie Haralson added 17.
Florida State won the rebounding battle 40-28.
