Harden finished with 37 points and Lin had 24 for the Rockets, who set a team record for 3-pointers in a season while improving to 2-0 on their season-long seven-game homestand. Houston committed only three turnovers in the second half after producing 15 in a dismal first 24 minutes.

When Greg Stiemsma scored 19 seconds into the third quarter, Minnesota held a commanding 59-39 lead over the mistake-prone Rockets. Harden's 3-pointer moments later ignited the second-half charge, during which he made three 3s and Lin added a pair.

Lin's layup with 8:51 left forged an 82-82 tie, the first since it was 14-14, and he gave Houston the lead for good at 89-86 with another 3 with 5:30 to go. Harden made six free throws and Chandler Parsons scored seven points down the stretch as the Rockets pulled away.
