Marreese Speights added 18 points off the bench, Tristan Thompson chipped in 16 points and Dion Waiters scored 15 for the Cavaliers, who have won three straight and six of their last eight.
Nikola Vucevic had 25 points and 13 rebounds and Arron Afflalo added 23 points for the Magic, who have dropped eight straight on the road and 12 in a row overall — both season-worst streaks. Andrew Nicholson collected 21 points and eight rebounds and Jameer Nelson had 15 points and 13 assists for Orlando, which lost despite shooting 52.3 percent from the field.
It was tied at 24 after one quarter and knotted at 56 at halftime before the Cavaliers closed the third quarter on an 8-0 run to take an 85-80 advantage into the final period. Cleveland then scored the first five points of the fourth quarter to push the margin to 90-80 with 10:41 left.
Orlando pulled within 104-101 with 4:41 remaining, but Irving scored five points during a 7-0 burst to push it back to double digits and the Magic didn't get closer than seven points the rest of the way.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The loss was Orlando's first against Cleveland since Feb. 11, 2010. The Cavaliers have won seven of the past 24 regular-season meetings and only four of the last 11 in Cleveland. … Afflalo returned to the lineup after missing six games with a strained calf.
