Recap
Raptors 108, Lakers 103: Jose Calderon had 22 points and nine assists and host Toronto fended off a fourth-quarter comeback to snap a four-game losing streak.
Landry Fields added a season-high 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Ed Davis had 18 points and eight boards as the Raptors sent the Lakers to their first five-game road losing streak in nearly six years.
Kobe Bryant scored 26 points despite a miserable 10-for-32 shooting performance and Pau Gasol had a season-high 25 points for Los Angeles, which lost center Dwight Howard to a first-half ejection in losing for the eighth time in 10 games.
Except for a 2-0 deficit, the Raptors led the entire way and seemingly had the game in hand when Kyle Lowry buried back-to-back 3-pointers to ignite a 10-0 burst that built the lead to 95-76 with 7 1/2 minutes to play.
Bryant rallied the Lakers by knocking down three 3-pointers in a five-minute span to slice the deficit to 103-97 with 1:35 left, but Los Angeles could not get any closer until a layup by Bryant in the final seconds.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Howard was ejected when he picked up his second technical with 1:17 left in the first half. It was his second ejection this season after he had previously never been tossed in his first eight seasons. ... Alan Anderson had 14 points and eight assists off the bench for the Raptors, who shot a scorching 54.8 percent. ... Steve Nash contributed 16 points and nine assists for Los Angeles, which has dropped five straight away from home for the first time since March 4-15, 2007.
