Clippers 88, Pistons 76: Jamal Crawford and Blake Griffin scored 15 points apiece as visiting Los Angeles extended the franchise’s longest winning streak in 38 years to 10 games.
Chris Paul added 14 points and seven assists and Lamar Odom matched a season high with 11 rebounds off the bench for the Clippers, who are a game shy of matching the franchise’s longest streak, set by the then-Buffalo Braves in the 1974-75 season.
Brandon Knight scored 16 points and Tayshaun Prince added 15 as Detroit suffered its fifth straight setback.
Detroit was within three points to begin the fourth quarter but Crawford and Matt Barnes scored four points apiece during a 12-4 burst that pushed the lead to 75-64 with 6:47 left. Knight scored all seven points for the Pistons during a 7-2 burst over the next three minutes but could not close the gap by himself.
Crawford stopped the run with a basket and Los Angeles held Detroit off the rest of the way.
