Vasquez sank a game-tying 3-pointer with 17.8 seconds to play in the fourth, but Morris hit a shot from beyond the arc with 49.9 seconds remaining in overtime to give Phoenix a 108-103 advantage.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Hornets rookie F Anthony Davis sat out again due to his injured ankle. "I was hoping to have him back in a week. But I don't know," New Orleans coach Monty Williams said regarding the No. 1 overall draft pick. ... Phoenix F Michael Beasley's sprained finger on his left hand has played a major role in his shooting. He went 1-of-6 against New Orleans and has shot 18-for-51 from the field over the past four games. ... Hornets F Jason Smith left the game in the first half after getting poked in the eye and did not return.
