Nuggets 101, Timberwolves 94: Andre Miller scored all 11 of his points in a tight fourth quarter as visiting Denver overcame the return of Kevin Love to post a come-from-behind victory over Minnesota.

Miller scored four points in the final 1:34 for the Nuggets, who didn't take their first lead until late in the third quarter. Danilo Gallinari's 19 points led five players in double digits for Denver. Andre Iguodala and Ty Lawson scored 18 points apiece, with Iguodala totaling nine rebounds and Lawson having nine assists.

Love was expected to miss another month with a broken right hand but returned well ahead of schedule. He took the court wearing a protective fingerless glove and amassed 34 points and 14 rebounds for the Timberwolves. J.J. Barea, another Minnesota player returning from injury, had 12 points on four 3-pointers.

Minnesota never trailed in the first half and jumped out to a 52-36 advantage just before intermission. Denver got back into the game by starting the third period on a 14-2 run, and finally took its first lead on an alley-oop dunk by JaVale McGee with 2:11 to go in the quarter.

The lead seesawed back and forth in the final stanza until Lawson sank a 3-pointer with 3:55 left that put Denver ahead for good at 90-87. The Nuggets made seven free throws in the last 90 seconds to preserve the win.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Denver has played nine of its first 12 games this season on the road. ... Love and Luke Ridnour both were whistled for technicals in the third quarter. ... The Timberwolves sold 1,000 walk-up tickets to the game in the hour before tip-off after it became public knowledge that Love would be making his 2012-13 debut.
