Recap

Pistons 103, Celtics 83: Greg Monroe had 20 points and 13 rebounds, Jason Maxiell tallied 15 points and Detroit had six players score in double figures while routing visiting Boston.

Rodney Stuckey and Kyle Singler scored 14 points apiece as the Pistons won for only the second time in 11 games this season.

Boston’s Rajon Rondo had 12 points and 10 assists to increase his streak to 34 consecutive games with 10 or more assists. The streak is the third-longest in NBA history behind Magic Johnson (46 in 1983-84) and John Stockton (37, 1989).

The Pistons led 48-43 at halftime and used a 23-8 third-quarter run to pull away and take an 18-point lead. Detroit led by double digits the entire fourth quarter.

Jared Sullinger scored 16 points, Kevin Garnett had 15 and Paul Pierce added 13 for the Celtics. The only fourth-quarter suspense revolved around Rondo’s quest for 10 assists. He had just six midway through the quarter but remained in despite the one-sided margin. He notched his 10th assist on a jumper by Sullinger with 51.3 seconds to play.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Corey Maggette with 11 points and Tayshaun Prince with 10 also reached double figures for Detroit, which shot 54.2 percent from the field. … The Celtics committed 18 turnovers and had just four fast-break points. … Monroe recorded his sixth double-double of the campaign.
