The Nuggets rallied again and cut the lead to 92-91 on Andre Iguodala's two free throws with 1:37 remaining. Following a missed shot by Ray Allen, Danilo Gallinari had a chance to give Denver the lead, but shot an air ball on a 3-point attempt. Norris Cole then hit a 3-pointer from the corner with 51.4 seconds left that put Miami up 95-91 and the Heat put the game away at the foul line.

Wade missed the game because of a sprained left foot that he suffered in Monday's game against Houston. He played Wednesday against the Los Angeles Clippers but scored six points and made just 2 of 10 field-goal attempts.

Miami PG Mario Chalmers sustained a strained right triceps in the first half and didn't return. ... The Heat is 3-2 on a six-game trip that ends Saturday in Phoenix. ... Miami hadn't won in Denver since Jan. 29, 2002, losing 10 in a row.
