A layup by Udonis Haslem with 10:48 remaining in the fourth quarter brought Miami within 87-86, but Omer Asik scored four points during a 7-0 run that increased the lead to eight. The Heat stayed close until James converted a driving layup with 18.6 seconds left to put them ahead 111-110.

Jeremy Lin missed a wide-open 3-point attempt with 9.9 seconds to go, but Wade gave Houston life by failing to sink two free throws. Bosh was not so generous, hitting both of his shots from the line, and Harden missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.
