The Bucks closed within a dozen points with five minutes left in the third quarter before the Celtics pushed it back to 78-61 entering the final 12 minutes.

Celtics G Ray Allen sat out his ninth consecutive game with bone spurs in his ankle. ... Milwaukee played with only nine players dressed.
