HORNETS 88, GRIZZLIES 75: Eric Gordon scored 18 points and Carl Landry and Jason Smith each posted double-doubles as host New Orleans extended its winning streak to three games.

Landry had 16 points and 11 rebounds and Smith added 14 and 10 to help the Hornets snap a four-game losing streak against Memphis.

Rudy Gay scored 24 points to pace the Grizzlies, who lost for the second time in seven games and fell two games behind the Los Angeles Clippers for fourth place in the Western Conference.

After a lackluster first 12 minutes that saw the Grizzlies ahead by 16-15, Gilbert Arenas came off the bench to bury a pair of 3-pointers in a 10-run that put Memphis ahead by nine points en route to a 37-33 halftime lead.

The third quarter was tight throughout until Landry hit back-to-back baskets to help the Hornets take a 62-56 lead into the final 12 minutes.

The Grizzlies got as close as four points with nine minutes remaining, but Landry and Marco Belinelli had five points apiece in a 12-4 run as New Orleans pushed the lead to a dozen.

GAME NOTEBOOK: New Orleans complete a five-game homestand with a 4-1 record and improved to 2-0 since Saints owner Tom Benson purchased the club.
