SPURS 107, GRIZZLIES 97: Tim Duncan tied a season high with 28 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as host San Antonio broke a two-game losing streak and wrapped up a four-game season sweep of Memphis.
Manu Ginobili scored 20 points and Tony Parker added 13 points and nine assists as the Spurs pulled within a half-game of the Oklahoma City Thunder for best record in the Western Conference.
Rudy Gay scored 19 points and O.J. Mayo added 16 for Memphis, which had a four-game winning streak halted.
Duncan had 20 second-half points as San Antonio ended its first two-game skid since late January.
The Spurs had a 94-81 edge after a 3-pointer by Danny Green with 7:41 to play, but Memphis rolled off 11 straight points and was within 94-92 after Mayo’s 3-pointer with 2:55 remaining. Green ended San Antonio’s drought with two free throws with 2:27 left and a three-point play by Duncan boosted the lead to 99-93 with 1:51 left.
Ginobili hit all 11 of his free-throw attempts and connected on six straight during a 30-second span to give the Spurs a 10-point lead with 27.9 seconds left.
Marreese Speights added 15 points and Marc Gasol had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Memphis.
The Grizzlies led 49-45 at halftime but Duncan scored 14 third-quarter points as San Antonio took an eight-point lead into the final quarter. The Spurs were 12 of 16 from the field while scoring 37 points in the quarter.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Duncan also scored 28 points against the New Orleans Hornets on Jan. 23. … Memphis was just 4 of 19 from 3-point range. … Spurs guard Gary Neal (stomach virus) was back after missing Wednesday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers. … Grizzlies guard Tony Allen (cut mouth) missed his fifth straight game.
