KINGS 119, GRIZZLIES 110: Marcus Thornton scored 31 points and DeMarcus Cousins added 23 for host Sacramento.
Isaiah Thomas had 18 points and seven assists and Jason Thompson had 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Kings, who have won three consecutive contests.
Rudy Gay scored 23 points, Mike Conley had 16 points and nine assists and Marc Gasol had 15 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists for the Grizzlies, who are 4-28 all-time at Sacramento.
Sacramento had lost twice on the road to Memphis by an average of 25 points before playing exceptionally well and recording the most points allowed by the Grizzlies all season.
The Kings shot 53.4 percent from the field, had a 47-37 rebounding advantage and led by double digits most of the second half.
Sacramento held off a charge when Memphis pulled within 95-92 early in the final quarter by going on an 11-2 spurt to get the lead back up to 12 on Thompson’s basket with 7:09 remaining.
Tyreke Evans returned from an ankle injury to score 13 points for the Kings.
Tony Allen scored 14 points and Zach Randolph added 13 for the Grizzlies.
Thornton scored 19 points as Sacramento took a 66-56 halftime lead. The Kings shot 63 percent from the field and led by as many as 13 points.
