Recap

Monta Ellis scored a game-high 39 points and Dorell Wright added 25 as the Golden State Warriors defeated the visiting Memphis Grizzlies 115-109 on Wednesday night.

Ellis scored 17 of Golden State’s final 21 points and Wright knocked down a career-best seven 3-point shots as the Warriors improved to 3-1.

Ellis also had nine rebounds, eight assists and three steals in a solid all-around performance.

Rudy Gay scored 35 points for Memphis (2-3), which lost for the second consecutive night.

Reggie Williams added 16 points and eight assists for Golden State, and David Lee rebounded from a scoreless outing against the Los Angeles Lakers to record 15 points and 16 rebounds.

O.J. Mayo scored 23 points and Mike Conley had 18 points and 13 assists for the Grizzlies.

The 35-point performance marked the second straight night in which Gay scored 30 or more points. He had 30 against the Lakers on Tuesday.

Golden State point guard Stephen Curry missed his second straight game due to an ankle injury.
