Tyson Chandler had a season-high 21 points and added 15 rebounds to pace the Dallas Mavericks to a 111-106 victory over the visiting Houston Rockets on Thursday.
J.J. Barea added 19 points as Dallas (30-15) won its third straight, and fourth in five games. Dirk Nowitzki had 18 points as Dallas had seven players score in double figures.
Luis Scola scored 30 points and Kevin Martin added 27 for Houston (22-26).
Reserves Barea, Jason Terry (15 points) and Shawn Marion (10) helped the Mavericks’ bench combine for 48 points, two nights after the Dallas reserves scored 63 points in a 112-105 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Starters Jason Kidd and Sasha Pavlovic scored 11 points apiece for the Mavericks.
Chandler made 5 of 8 field goal attempts and 11 of 12 free throws as he scored 21 points for the second straight game.
Chuck Hayes added 16 points and eight rebounds for Houston, which trailed by 18 points after the first quarter. Hayes hit 8 of 10 shots.
