Recap
Andray Blatche had 25 points and 17 rebounds and rookie Jordan Crawford scored 23 as the Washington Wizards earned back-to-back road victories for the first time this season with a 97-91 win over the Charlotte Bobcats on Sunday.
The Wizards (20-56) are just 3-35 on the road, but have won three of their last four games overall.
Charlotte (32-44) had only nine healthy players and was missing go-to player Stephen Jackson (left hamstring) for the seventh time in 15 games.
The Bobcats remained two games behind eighth-place Indiana, which fell at New Orleans on Sunday, in the Eastern Conference. Forward Tyrus Thomas (left knee), guard Shaun Livingston (bruised tailbone) and forward Eduardo Najera (sore back) also were sidelined.
Charlotte's Matt Carroll tied a career high with 26 points on 11-of-16 shooting, and D.J. Augustin scored 21.
Washington rookie John Wall tallied 18 and JaVale McGee had 15. Blatche, coming off a 36-point, 19-rebound performance in Friday's 115-107 victory at Cleveland, gave Washington a 67-49 lead with 5:43 remaining in the third quarter on two free throws.
Charlotte battled back to within five but never got closer in dropping its second straight.
