Carlos Boozer had 24 points and nine rebounds and Luol Deng broke out of a slump with 24 points on 9-of-15 shooting as the host Chicago Bulls got the better of the Milwaukee Bucks, 90-77, on Tuesday.
Derrick Rose added 18 points and 12 assists for Chicago, which has won two in a row and 11 of 13.
The Bulls jumped out to a 12-point lead after the first quarter, but the Bucks responded with a big second period, taking a 45-44 lead into the break.
Milwaukee got stuck in a familiar rut in the second half and Chicago took advantage, using an 8-0 run to begin the third period to take control as the Bucks missed their first five shots. Deng scored 11 points in the quarter.
Milwaukee pulled within 71-68 early in the fourth quarter but missed six of its next seven shots as Chicago rebuilt its lead. Rose’s 3-pointer with 3:41 left capped a 12-2 burst and pushed the advantage to 83-70.
John Salmons scored 18 points and Andrew Bogut had 16 rebounds for the Bucks.
