Philadelphia Phillies vs Pittsburgh Pirates Box Score on Jul 19, 2019

Rookie Adam Haseley homered and hit an RBI double Friday as the visiting Philadelphia Phillies downed the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-1.

Bryce Harper, Jean Segura and Maikel Franco each had an RBI single for the Phillies, who have won three of four.

Elias Diaz hit an RBI single for Pittsburgh, which is 1-6 since the All-Star break.

Both starters lasted 5 2/3 innings and gave up a run.

Philadelphia's Jake Arrieta allowed six hits, struck out four and walked two. Pittsburgh's Jordan Lyles gave up seven hits, fanned seven and walked one.

In what became a battle of the bullpens, the Phillies' Juan Nicasio (2-3) cleaned up the fifth with one-third of an inning, and Pittsburgh's Richard Rodriguez (3-4) gave up the go-ahead run in 1 1/3 innings.

Phillies rookie Cole Irvin pitched two scoreless innings for his first career save.

In the second, the Pirates took a 1-0 lead. Corey Dickerson singled to right with one out and swiped second, his first stolen base of the season. With two outs, Diaz rapped the ball up the middle to drive in Dickerson.

Philadelphia tied it in the fifth when Haseley led off with his second career homer, and second in two games, on a shot to center.

In the seventh, Phillies pinch hitter Brad Miller singled with one out, and Scott Kingery walked. Segura grounded into a fielder's choice, leaving runners at first and third for Harper, whose single to center drove in Miller for a 2-1 lead.

In the eighth against Kyle Crick, Franco drew a one-out walk. An out later, pinch hitter Nick Williams singled. Kingery walked to load the bases, and Segura's infield hit brought Franco home to make it 3-1.

J.T. Realmuto singled with one out in the ninth against Clay Holmes and went to third on Cesar Hernandez's single. Franco's chopper went for an RBI infield single.

Hernandez scored on Holmes' wild pitch, making it 5-1, and Haseley added an RBI double.
