J.D. Martinez hit two of Boston's season-high six home runs, and the visiting Red Sox routed the Baltimore Orioles 13-2 on Friday night.
Brock Holt, Jackie Bradley Jr., Michael Chavis and Christian Vazquez also homered for Boston, which has won three straight.
Martinez reached base five times, adding a single and two walks for the Red Sox, who led 2-1 before scoring four runs in the fourth inning and five in the fifth.
Boston's Eduardo Rodriguez (7-4) allowed a run on six hits in seven innings, striking out four without a walk.
Trey Mancini had a homer and a single for the Orioles, who have lost three straight.
Baltimore starter Luis Ortiz (0-1), called up from Triple-A Norfolk to make his second major league start, lasted just 3 1/3 innings, allowing four runs on four hits and five walks. He was pitching in place of Andrew Cashner, whose start was pushed back due to a blister on his right middle finger.
Dan Straily followed and was pounded for seven runs in 1 1/3 innings.
After Mancini's 15th homer of the season gave the Orioles a 1-0 lead in the first, Boston scored two in the second when Xander Bogaerts walked and Holt homered to right-center.
Vazquez led off the fourth inning with a homer, Bradley doubled and scored on a single by Chavis and Martinez capped the inning with a two-run shot to left.
In the fifth, Holt was hit by a pitch. With one out, Bradley homered off Straily. After Eduardo Nunez singled, Chavis connected for a two-run blast and Martinez added a solo homer, his 15th of the season, to make it 11-1.
Boston added two more in the sixth, this time without the aid of a long ball as Andrew Benintendi's bases-loaded single scored Holt and Vasquez.
