Recap

Twins 3, Astros 2:
Oswaldo Arcia smacked the tiebreaking homer in the seventh as host Minnesota completed a three-game sweep of Houston.

Arcia hit a high fastball from Brad Peacock into the first row of the seats above the high wall in right field to snap a 2-2 tie. Justin Morneau hit a two-run blast earlier in the contest.

Caleb Thielbar (2-1) recorded the final two outs of the seventh, Jared Burton worked a flawless eighth and Glen Perkins allowed a two-out single in the ninth to Jason Castro before retiring Jake Elmore on a fly to center for his 27th save in 30 opportunities.

Morneau’s first-inning homer to right gave the Twins the early lead. Houston knotted the score in the fifth on two-out RBI singles by Brett Wallace and Chris Carter.

Peacock (1-4) struck out a career-best 10 in seven innings and allowed three runs and four hits. Twins starter Mike Pelfrey gave up two runs and seven hits in five innings.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Twins DH Joe Mauer doubled in the eighth for his lone hit in 11 at-bats in the series. … 3B Matt Dominguez and LF Robbie Grossman each had two hits for the Astros. … Minnesota OF Josh Willingham (knee) is slated to begin a minor-league rehab stint Monday and expected to return to the Twins later in the week.
