Recap

Dodgers 6, Rockies 1: Chris Capuano tossed 6 1/3 scoreless innings and Mark Ellis went 3-for-4 with a pair of two-run singles as host Los Angeles extended its winning streak to five games.

Jerry Hairston Jr. recorded two hits, an RBI and two runs while Juan Uribe went 2-for-3 and scored twice for the Dodgers, who have won 16 of their last 19 contests.

Capuano (3-6) rebounded from a pair of rough starts, scattering six singles while recording a season-high eight strikeouts. The veteran left-hander has held the opposition scoreless in three of his last five outings.

After Hairston opened the scoring in the second inning with an RBI double, Colorado starter Drew Pomeranz (0-3) walked the bases loaded in the fourth before Ellis hit a slow grounder into left field to plate two. Ellis delivered another two-run single in the eighth to make it 5-0 and Andre Ethier followed with a sacrifice fly that capped the scoring for the Dodgers.

Pomeranz lowered his ERA to 8.76 despite surrendering three runs on seven hits and five walks in four innings. Carlos Gonzalez went 3-for-4 with his National League-leading 25th home run for the Rockies, who have lost 11 of 16.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Rockies activated SS Troy Tulowitzki (rib) and CF Dexter Fowler (wrist) from the 15-day disabled list and optioned OFs Corey Dickerson and Tyler Colvin to Triple-A Colorado Springs. Tulowitzki and Fowler each went 0-for-4. ... Gonzalez withdrew from the Home Run Derby this coming Monday due to a sprained middle finger on his right hand. He was replaced by Pittsburgh's Pedro Alvarez. ... Dodgers CF Yasiel Puig hit a pair of singles, giving him 18 multi-hit performances in 36 major-league games.
