Recap

Giants 8, Rockies 6: Angel Pagan delivered the tiebreaking two-run single and Brandon Crawford had a three-run double as visiting San Francisco rallied to beat Colorado for the 10th consecutive time.

Pagan’s bouncing single to center in the sixth capped the comeback as San Francisco overcame a six-run deficit to move a full game ahead of the Arizona Diamondbacks in the National League West.

Giants starter Matt Cain (3-2) gave up six runs and eight hits in 6 1/3 innings. Jeremy Affeldt retired six straight batters and Sergio Romo struck out the final two hitters for his 13th save in 15 opportunities.

Colorado built its 6-0 lead on three homers off Cain – a two-run shot by Todd Helton and a solo blast by Nolan Arenado in the second and Wilin Rosario’s three-run homer to right in the third.

The Giants scored five runs in the fourth against Jhoulys Chacin (3-3) on Brandon Belt’s bases-loaded walk, Crawford’s double to the right-center field gap and a line single by Cain. Gregor Blanco hit a sacrifice fly in the sixth prior to Pagan’s go-ahead single.
