Rockies 2, Yankees 0: Carlos Gonzalez hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning while Jorge De La Rosa pitched six solid frames as host Colorado prevailed at soggy Coors Field.

De La Rosa (3-3) allowed three hits for his fifth quality start in his last six outings. Matt Belisle and Rex Brothers each pitched an inning before Rafael Betancourt worked around a leadoff single in the ninth to earn his ninth save and complete the four-hitter for the Rockies first shutout of the season.

New York's Hiroki Kuroda (4-2), who had won his last four decisions, yielded two runs and seven hits in seven innings while falling to 1-6 against Colorado.

Josh Rutledge delivered a two-out single to center field before Gonzalez drove a 3-2 pitch into the Rockies bullpen in right-center for his seventh homer. Michael Cuddyer and Todd Helton followed with singles before Ben Francisco ended the threat with a running catch of rookie Nolan Arenado's line drive to right.

The Yankees had a runner in scoring position in three of the first six innings, and a runner at second base twice with one out while stealing four bases. New York's Chris Nelson, who was acquired from Colorado on Wednesday, went 0-for-3 in his return to Coors Field and is 0-for-10 in three games as a Yankee.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Helton on Tuesday was sentenced to 24 hours of community service and one year of probation after pleading guilty to driving while ability-impaired.
