Colorado won its fourth straight game.

Cuddyer's two-out RBI single in the first inning gave the Rockies a 1-0 lead. The Padres tied it in the fourth on a fielder's choice grounder by Alexi Amarista with
the bases loaded and none out before Garland escaped further trouble when he induced Cameron Maybin to ground into a double play.

The Rockies scored three times in the fifth inning as the first five batters reached base, with consecutive RBI singles by Carlos Gonzalez, Tulowitzki and
Cuddyer giving Colorado a 4-1 lead. Cuddyer gave Colorado some breathing room with a two-run shot to the opposite field in right to make it 6-2 in the seventh.
